Revin's First Birthday Party

Going all the way back to October 15, 2012.....  Revin had his FIRST BIRTHDAY!!!  It was so fun!  Buddy's mom and brothers all came out to party with us.  We were able to do some family photos while they were here which was good.  We spent time down town in Seattle, showed them what there is to see.  None of them had ever been out here before!  They were blown away at how beautiful it is out here.

But the highlights were the ZOO and the PARTY.  We dressed Revin up in his Halloween Tigger costume to take him to the zoo in.  Just to make him extra cute :)
He thought most of the animals were pretty cool, but he especially liked the otters!  They were so fun to watch as they glided through the water.  Bubbles would come off them and Revin liked that.  He really liked how close they would get to him and how playful they were.
We took a backpack to carry Revin in, but we wanted him to experience to zoo closer so we took turns carrying him.

We saw a big huge gorilla and were snow leopards!
And then we went home, after a LONG and tiring day with some scrapes and bonks from falling down.
His birthday party was so fun!  We had pirate hats, played with glow sticks, opened presents, and had cake!

His soon-to-be aunt made him the cutest little dinosaur tail!  It was so funny to watch him walk around with it on!  He also got a ball pit.  Best present ever!!  It cost like $20 and he plays in it every day.  He also got a little toy drum.  It took him a while to warm up to it but now he smiles and dances to it.  Revin got a shape puzzle ball, clothes, books, and a cool push cart that turns in to a little car you sit on and push.  He loves them all!

Right before cake, Revin tried to pull his party hat off and the little elastic whipped him in the face....  Poor little guy.

The cake was more fun for us adults.  I think he got a belly ache...  Which makes sense if you look at how much cake he actually ate.  The funniest part was when he decided he was done eating the cake.  He stood up and started growling, as if to say "I just DOMINATED that cake!  I am the cake MASTER!  Did you guys see THAT?!"  It was hilarious!  And then he almost ran onto the carpet so we promptly scooped him up and hauled him to the tub.  Ahh....  What a great birthday.
